At https://thesilencer.net/ we are huge mixed martial fans as well as athletes. Taking a good old fashioned butt kicking in sparring matches taught us this very valuable lesson: Training at the dojo only once or twice a week can put you at a disadvantage when fighting an athlete with more skill and better fitness.

From this experience we learned how vital it is for additional training outside of your regularly scheduled training classes and how off-day training in a good home gym dojo can prevent injuries and gives you an edge on your sparring partners. Sparring against fighters with greater skill can be defeated with endurance. (Assuming you survive the first few rounds).

Only one problem, heavy bag training can be very loud and disruptive to other family members and we were determined to design a heavy bag mounting system that would drastically reduce the amount of noise & vibration as well as reinforcing the structure of the home to support the strain caused by heavy bag workouts.

With a background in Automotive and Aerospace engineering we began designing with our CAD (Computer Aided Design) system & building working prototypes for testing. We were very pleased with the first prototype’s performance and our simple new concept for a ceiling mount for heavy bags. After a few more tweaks to our design we came up with THE SILENCER Heavy Bag Mounting system.

THE SILENCER has proven its reliability and durability over time as we have been selling the silencer for over 10 years with thousands of happy customers spanning the globe.

The first original working prototype is still in use and working like new.
